Preparation Activity: Watch Case Video 1 and Case Video 2 on Moodle and for each case answer the questions below.

Case 1

1. Observe and record the patient’s presentation (describe what the person looks like, how they speak, body posture, mannerisms etc).

2. Think about and record the patient’s symptoms.

3. What disorder/s may fit the patient’s symptomatology? Primary hypothesis (why?) Secondary hypothesis (why?)

4. What risks does this patient present with (i.e., risk to self, to others, vulnerabilities, financial)?

5. What physical issues may be present for this patient?

6. What effects would the patient’s symptoms have on their day-to-day functioning and their psychosocial functioning?
