  • witnessed in person
  • learning the event occured to close family/friend

    eg flashbacks, reliving, dreams, distressing memories can get really angry
    persistant avoidance of internal or external cues which relate to the stimuli
    negative alterations about cognition and mood
    physiological arousal is high, almost just higher baseline reactivity at all times
    significant distress or impairment
    not attributal to anything else (A cute stress disorder)
